FBASA rules for postponement of scheduled league games due to weather and/or field conditions

1) All games for remainder of the day are deemed postponed (a rainout) if when you call:

• On Friday, the Eclipse rainout telephone hotline deems the fields “Closed” before or by 5:00 PM
  (281- 265-0569, Option 1)

• On Saturday, the FBASA rainout telephone hotline deems the fields “Closed” before or by 3:00 PM
  (281-434-4000)

• On Sunday, the FBASA rainout telephone hotline deems the fields “Closed” before or by 8:00 AM
  (281-434-4000)

2) If the rainout telephone hotline calls the fields “Open” or if for some uncontrollable reason, the hotline is not updated, the teams scheduled to play should show up ready to play, regardless of the possibility that rules 3, 4 and 5 may be enforced.

3) A game should be voided and deemed postponed independently of the score and of the rainout hotline status, if due to weather or field conditions, it needs to be stopped during the first half of play.  The referee will enforce this decision during the game. 

4) A game should end prematurely independently of the score and rainout hotline status, if due to weather or field conditions it needs to be stopped during the second half of play.  The referee will enforce this decision during the game.  The score at the time of stoppage becomes the official and final score. 

5) The sign at the entrance of Lost Creek Park is NOT the official statement that determines the postponement of FBASA league games; all other times the sign is to be deemed the rule and should be obeyed.
