REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

 
Registration is now closed for teams.  Next season will start early September, and registration will take place beginning of August.
 
 

 


REGISTRATION FOR 2010 FALL SEASON IS ON AUGUST 2010, DATE TBA,  AT THE MARRIOTT
HOTEL (16090 City Walk Sugar Land TX, 77479) IN TOWN CENTER SUGAR LAND, BAR AREA. 

Men & Women

  • The registration fee is $80 per player, $90 for late fee. Late fee applies after the August 25th.
  • Teams can register players all the way up to 2/3 of our regular scheduled season.
  • We need the TSSAS and FBASA forms for new players only, along with their photos. Forms can be found on our website, www.fbasa.com.
  • Each team can have as many guest players as they want, as long as they are FBASA registered players.
  • FBASA is an over 30 league. Each team is allowed to carry 2 players that are 27 or older on their roster.
  • FBASA takes care of the ref fees. One ref per game. This includes the regular season as well as the tournament refs. The final will have 3 referees as usual.
  • All teams will receive a new Brine soccer ball. First place of the regular season and first place of the tournament will receive a trophy.
  • The final of the tournament will be videotaped and both teams will receive 15 copies of the DVD. The tape copies and trophies are handed out at our registration night, or at our first game of the season.
    Same rules apply to the women’s side of the league.
  • FBASA will sponsor the team that is rated #1 in our standings at the time that HFA is having their yearly tournament in March 27~28, 2010. The selected top team will represent FBASA. First place in the HFA tournament receives $500 in cash and other player awards. Team will be in the over 30 bracket.

REGISTRATION RULES AND PROCEDURES

  1. The league will set a registration date and time at our usual location of the Marriott Hotel in Town Center Sugar Land.
  2. No person may participate in any FBASA game unless he/she has fully completed the following required registration procedures.
  3. Each new player must complete the FBASA Player Registration Form and TSSAS form. The form must be completed, legibly, and be signed and dated by the applicant player.  These two forms are due once a year. 
  4. Each new player must submit a photocopy of a picture identification card which includes their name and birth date and one current photograph, approximately 1.5 inches by 2 inches.  Photos must be trimmed so that they will not obscure any of the pertinent information on the Player I.D. Card.  Photo and photo -ID must be attached to the Player Registration Form before it is submitted to the Registrar. 
  5. The Player ID Card must be completed and signed by the player and laminated by the first game. Each player is required to have a valid Player ID Card available for inspection at every game.
  6. A registration deadline is set by the League as well as late fees. 
  7. A player is considered “NEW PLAYER” when he or she has not participated with FBASA in a 12 month period, or the equivalent of 2 FBASA seasons.  After this grace period, player will be considered and treated as a new player.  Fees apply accordingly.  All players have to be re-registered with the state once a year.  Fees apply accordingly.
  8. You can register new players at anytime.  No cut off time on registration.  Late fees apply. 
  9. FBASA is an over 30 league.  The only exception is any player turning 30 during the league season.  Each team can register 2 players ages 27 or older.
  10. FBASA does not offer any type of refund to players that are not able to continue playing due to personal reasons.
  11. A team must have a minimum of 11 registered players with all the COMPLETE forms, to reserve a spot.  If a team has less than 11 players due to disorganization, or for not turning in all required paperwork, they may lose their spot in the league.  Their registration request will be put aside.  A notice will be posted on the website of why team was not accepted. 
  12. Once the team paperwork has been received, and the information looks to be in order and complete, cards will be issued and processed.  Once the cards are ready the package will be mailed out ONLY to the team rep.  Make sure you include your team rep's correct mailing address.  This could take 5 to 10 days.
  13. We will not process players 2 or 3 days before a game. Registration of a new player can take 5 to 7 days.

  1. Check made payable to FBASA (Fee listed above)
  2. Completed TSSAS/USSF form (available on website)
  3. Completed FBASA form (available on website)
  4. Copy of driver’s license (New players only)
  5. Small color photograph for player ID card 
  6. Bring all this info to the registration meeting.
