Instructions on the FBASA Women’s League Registration Process Through SportsEngine

How to Register -->

Each player will need to "create an account" with SportsEngine prior to registration through the website, linked below. As part of the process to "create an account", you will get an email to activate your account. Log in to your account.

  • If you have played FBASA previously, your account should still be active and set to go from last season.
  • If you are new to FBASA, you may have created an account to contact the league as an interested player and can use this account. If you have never created an account, you will need to do so.

- Select (your team) as your TEAM.

- Payment can be submitted via credit card and must be submitted during  registration to be eligible to play in the first game.
- After you have fully registered, you can download the associated app for your mobile phone (SportsEngine) if you don’t already have this from last season. There is a link to the app in the website, or you can search for it via whatever means you download apps. Once logged in to the website or app, the material you view is unique to you and your team.
- Upload photos either during registration (a standard file upload) or right from the app. Must have photo (clearly showing your face) prior to first game to be eligible to play in first game.
- You should get an automated email message confirming your registration and payment.
-
As a reminder, if you have immediate family members registering, you can get a discount for one of the players. That process entails both players registering and playing in full, then one of the two emailing the league (fbasawomen@gmail.com) the names of the two players and how they are related, and I will pass it along to League Administrator to have a $25 credit refunded back to one of the registrant's credit cards used for payment.

- From this screen, there should be a magnifying glass icon on the top bar on the right side, which you can click to search teams.
- Type in your team name in the search bar, and team should pop up.
- Click on our team, and click "save as favorite" or the star icon.

FBASA Women Game Rules

Supplemental Rules for Matches

  • Games are 2 x 40 minutes halves; one ref system.
  • All games must start on time.  If games start late, time will be deducted from the actual game time.
  • Unlimited subs are allowed any time the ball has stopped, pending approval from the referee.
  • A water break midway through each half is allowed if agreed upon by both teams and the referee prior the game start.
  • Teams leaving excessive trash behind after their games could face a fine of $150 from the City or the youth club.
  • Slide tackling not allowed and will result in a yellow card, or a red card if the slide was violent.

Yellow and Red Card Penalties for Players

  • All game outcomes, including cards issued, are based strictly on the referee's final report.
  • FBASA will assess penalties (in the form of fines and/or suspensions) on players receiving red cards, based on the referee's game report.
  • A player receiving a yellow card must exit the field of play for a 5 minute “cool off” period.  This does not apply if the penalized player's exit would leave the team playing short-handed (< 11 players). If available, a substitute may come into the game in place of the penalized player.
  • A player receiving two yellow, non-violent cards will result in the player being assessed the club's set fine of $25.  A non-violent red card does not result in a suspension from future games but does result in a fine to be paid before the next game.
  • A player receiving a red card for violent behavior (ref’s discretion) will result in the player being assessed the club’s set fine of $55. A single or multi-game suspension will also apply; the length of the suspension is determined based on the severity of the infraction.
  • Players showing physical aggression towards the official could face being banned for a year from FBASA and all local soccer clubs.
  • In the event that a team has less than 11 players available for a game, teams can use guest players, given that the guest is a) a current FBASA registered player, and b)have gotten approval from the opponent team.
  • If a player scores 3 goals in a single game, any subsequent goals scored by that player will not count towards the score of the game.
